Small Loan Example
Let’s take the example of Joanne. Joanne earns $600 net a week and would like to borrow $500 for urgent dental work. She is paid on Wednesdays. Today is Monday 10th July, and Joanne is next paid on Wednesday 13th July. Having chosen 5 repayments, Joanne’s loan repayments will be on:
- 13th July;
- 20th July;
- 27th July;
- 3rd August;
- 10th August
Joanne’s final loan repayment is therefore on the 10th August. Joanne’s loan was approved and paid on Monday 10th, meaning Joanne will be borrowing the money for 30 days. The total fees on the $500 Joanne borrows will be:
- Establishment fee: $25
- Direct Debit fee ($5 per transaction): $25
- SMS fees: $6 Once to verify her and one reminder the day before each direct debit.
- Interest (30 days @ 547.5% per annum): $150
- Total: $206
- Total repayment amount: $706
Joanne’s repayment schedule would look as follows:
- 13th July: $141.20
- 20th July: $141.20
- 27th July: $141.20
- 3rd August: $141.20
- 10th August: $141.20
Total repayment amount: $706
This gives you an idea of the costs involved with taking out a small loan with Zebra Loans.
